I turned 30 weeks this past week, OMG! I still can’t believe I only have 10 weeks left before this precious baby girl arrives. Seems like just yesterday we found out I was pregnant and now I am about 2 months out.
Are we ready? No! Most all things that we need have arrived but nothing has been put together. This includes the nursery, I still need to decorate and buy small furniture that I need. Just thinking about it all is making me stress lol.
Now to update you on how my second trimester went. It was actually really good! I didn’t have many issues at all, I was comfortable, I could eat anything (only what was recommended) without any issues and though my bump was showing all of my clothes still fit. Nausea and vomiting were gone and have not returned yet.
At my midwife’s office they did test me for blood sugar and I passed, they did other blood work as well and turns out I am a little anemic. Nothing to be concerned about though just taking an over the counter supplement. No other ultrasounds were done since my pregnancy is low risk, will have another closer to due date. I did experience Braxton Hicks contractions and this baby is very active. Her kicks are visible and since she has flipped head down I feel them in my ribs. Working on my feet has become a little more uncomfortable, I did try the support belt I mentioned in a previous post but returned it. It was too uncomfortable and not much support in my opinion. I feel the belly bands I purchased from Target have been helpful for support. I am still using the oil and lotions for stretch marks (still none), also still loving the nursing bras (especially the Gilligan & O’Malley). I just bought a nursing tank, hope I like just as much. I traveled for the last time in November (for my baby shower), I was 27 weeks and the plane ride was very uncomfortable. I did use my compression socks and this helped prevent swelling, I also made sure to stay hydrated.
I will continue to update you guys on my pregnancy as things come up. Post I plan to write are how hormones have affected my skin, what I have in my hospital bag and per request a baby shower haul (this will have to be a video). I will also do a nursery tour once it is complete. I also was able to get a few discount codes for a couple of baby and mom needs that I will share with you.
Hope this post was helpful, if you have any questions regarding pregnancy or anything else make sure to leave them down below.
