Hello loves,

Today’s post is very different compared to anything I have done in the past. Since I have completed school I now have more time to read. Reading and listening to music are my two escapes when I am stressed, sad, mad and happy!I love to lose myself in the story line and I also like to read motivational books. Today I will be sharing with you my thoughts on these three books and whether you too should read it or not.

  1. Big Magic is a great book! I read this book at the best time in my life. For a few days I felt in a rut when it came to content for the blog. I had also been questioning whether I should continue with the blog since I did not feel that my following was growing fast enough. I began to do it for the amount of followers and not for the passion (which is why I originally began the blog). I have also received some negative feedback and normally I would brush this off and continue but with all the emotions I had been feeling about the blog I questioned if these negative things were true. This book took me back to doing things for me and what make me happy and not worry about what others think or have to say. This is a great read for the creative mind, it helps you make your strengths stronger, gets your creative juices going and the author does in such a way that you will want to conquer the world when you are done reading. Well at least this is how I felt when I was done! Definitely recommend that you read this.
  2. The Girl on the Train was a good book. I read this a few weeks ago and can I say that the characters are so crazy! Though I did not think that this book was the greatest it did keep me glued to its pages. I got lost in the characters as crazy as they were, though the story started off a bit slow it soon picked up pace. Once I started reading I could not put it down. I can’t really use this to judge it though because I do this with a lot of books lol. The story line did remind me a little of Gone Girl. I am glad that I did read this already though because the Movie will be out soon and I can never watch a movie before reading the book. It always ruins the book for me! If you are like me I would say read the book before watching the movie.
  3. Me Before You was such a beautiful story. I just read this book a few days ago, the reason being is that I saw the movie previews. As I mentioned before I hate to watch the movie first. When I watch the movie first I most always never read the book. I really enjoyed the love in this book and even made me want to love my husband even more. If you are into a great love story and a book that is easy to read this is your book. The love was so true and pure it transcended the pages into my heart. You will most definitely enjoy this book!

I plan to do a book review such as this one, once a month. Let me know if this is something you would be interested in. If so let me know the books you plan to read and want a review on. Don’t worry I will never spoil the book for you.

Remember you never stop learning, reading is the gateway to knowledge!

  1. Great book reviews! I have been debating reading big magic. It didn’t seem like something I’d be able to relate to because I never saw myself as a creative person, but hello I blog! You made me want to read it! I’ll have to pick it up once I finish the current book I’m reading. I wasn’t as impressed with girl on the train as I thought I would be. I hated Rachel BUT she did keep me glued to the pages as well. I had to see what ended up happening.

  2. Ohhhh goodness, I’m liking these book reviews!! Can’t wait for the Girl On A Train movie! Need to book my babysitters now! Are you going to do a review on The Power of Habit? I’m still reading it and I feel like it’s a life changer.
Sorry to hear about the negative comments. Hang in there! I think your content is great!

    1. I’m excited for that movie as well! I also have not finished reading The Power of Habit but I will review it once I finish reading it.
Thank you so much for all of your support! I have realized negative comments come with the territory and I just have to grow thicker skin and do what I enjoy. It really means a lot to know you enjoy my content! Thank you for the feedback as well.

      1. I look forward to reading more of your book reviews. I love motivational books. I’m currently reading The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin and I love it. It’s very uplifting. I will be doing a review about this soon.
